The Sabbath Rest

Passage: Hebrews 4:1-13, Psalm 95:11, Genesis 2:2, Deuteronomy 12:10, 1 John 1:8-9
Service Type:

What is rest? How do we enter this rest? What does it mean when the Lord declared to some that they shall not enter His rest or to some others that He will give them rest?

Every small choice we make matters - either it brings us closer to Him or further away from Him. In addition, we are to help and encourage each other and make sure we do fall short of God's glory.

Rest also refers to salvation and that in the past, presence and future. 'I have been saved, I am being saved from sin and I will ve saved after my physical death'. Only at the that point our works, wandering and warfare will end.

Why is it good to seek rest regularly? To seek the Lord, praise Him and worship Him. To watch over our hearts, evaluate the decisions and actions we have been taking. To read and acknowledge the Word of God.
