We believe the good news of Jesus Christ, that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, written by men who were moved by the Holy Spirit as they wrote. The Bible is true and reliable as a guide to faith in Jesus Christ and as a guide to living for God.
We believe there is one and only one true God. The eternal God reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is our Creator, and our Saviour. We believe that we are created by God, in His image. By his free choice, man sinned against God and needs a Saviour. That salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
We believe Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience, symbolising the believer’s death to sin and resurrection to new life in Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act whereby members of the Church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialise the death of Jesus and anticipate His return.
We believe the Church is a local body of baptised believers and is also spoken of in the Bible as all of the redeemed of all ages.
The Covenant
Having given ourselves to Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, we covenant together:

How can you become a church member?
Anyone who accepts these basic statements of the church’s identity and mission, and who affirms the church covenant, may apply to join the church membership. Membership is open to any person who publicly professes his/her faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, followed by immersion baptism. A person may be received into membership by baptism, by an officially written transfer of membership from another Christian church, or by an affirmation of faith. Anyone who wishes to maintain his/her affiliation with another denomination or church, but agrees with the church statement of faith, and wants to fellowship and serve in the IBCP while living here in Prague, is welcomed to join the church as an associate member.
